Obituary for Charles Kenneth Dewberry

Charles Kenneth Dewberry, Sr. of Bremen passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Annapolis, Maryland, August 23, 1942, son of the late Charlie Lee Dewberry and Helen Jordan Rogers. Mr. Dewberry was formerly with the Anne Arundel County Police from 1963 until 1979 and retired from the Maxim Crane Works as a dispatcher in 2009. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as church clerk and was a member of the choir.

Survivors include his wife, Betty V. Dewberry of Bremen; children, Connie Browning of Goldendale, WA, Charles K. Dewberry, Jr. and Laura of Goldendale, WA, Debbie Mimms of Acworth, Chris and Susan Smith of Norcross, David Aliff, Jr. of Acworth, Johnny Aliff of Temple, Joey and Sabrina Aliff of LaFayette, Tim and Kim Blount of Hiram and David and Dawn Blount of Dallas; brothers, Michael and Sandy Dewberry, Annapolis, MD, Johnny Rogers, Ridgley, MD; sisters, Lynn and Mark Rose of Annapolis, MD, Mary Jo and Steve Gallagher, Deale , MD, Lori and Thomas Wichmann of Lancaster, CA; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a numerous number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM.

Services will be Friday, February 22 at 2:00 PM from the Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Carroll and Reverend Van Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Bryan McGarity officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bobby Brannon, Junior Green, Marvin Snow, Kevin McBrayer, Bobby Monroe and Matt Young. J. W. Perry, Rusty Caldwell and Donald Carroll will serve as honorary pallbearers.
