Mr. Leonard Ray Parker, 67 of Buncombe Waco Road, Waco passed away July 20, 2010.
Mr. Parker was born on April 20, 1943 in Haralson County, Georgia the son on the late Robert Jackson Parker and Mae Smith Parker.
A retiree of General Motors with fourteen years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by sisters Gloria Braswell and Lucille Morgan; brothers Buck Parker and Claude Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Davis Parker of Waco; children, Michael Ray & Melissa Parker of Waco and Annette & William Wells of Newnan; sisters, Sybil Lyle of Carrollton, Betty Sailors of Bremen and Faye & Haron Naile of Waco; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 22, between the hours of 5 & 9 pm.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 23, 2010 at 2 pm from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Mr. Bo Morton speaking. Music will be provided by Randy Stamps. Terry Parker, Bobby Parker, John Garrett, Jonathon Dempsey, John Turner, Danny Culver, Jaycen Simpson and Phillip Morton will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
