Biography

Kathleen Leatherwood Hagan, 78 of Highland Avenue, Buchanan passed away February 27, 2010.

Kathleen was born on April 20, 1931 in Haralson County, Georgia the daughter of the late J.H. Leatherwood and Belvie Bonds Leatherwood.

A retired Dietician and member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mason Hagan; son, Randall Hagan and two brothers, Othell Leatherwood and Odell Leatherwood.

She is survived by children, Patsy & David Akin of Waco, Tony & Dorothy Hagan of Buchanan, Greg & Laura Hagan of Temple; Sharon & Trace Thompson of Carrollton and David & Dianne Hagan of Villa Rica; sisters, Luby Wheeler of Bremen and Ida Lee Robinson of Tallapoosa; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 between the hours of 5 & 8 pm.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2 pm from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Reverend Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be provided by Harold McWhorter. Jeremy Akin, Jarred Akin, Thomas Thompson, Kyle Hagan, David Rooks and Ricky White will serve as pallbearers. Dr. Dennis Morin, Tim Pardoe, Jerry Hagan and James Truett will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
