Biography

James Buford Spake of John Golden Road, Temple, passed
away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at his residence. He
was born in Carroll County, April 21, 1920, son of the
late James Leon Spake and Rosie Pollard Spake. Mr. Spake
was a retired employee of Temple Wood Products, a member
of the Bremen Church of Christ and a U. S. Navy veteran,
having served in World War II.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by wife,
Hazel Browning Spake; sisters, Mary Spake, Ethel McDaniel;
brothers Preston Spake, Millard Spake , Thomas Spake and
a grandson, Bryan Wayne Spake.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law; Wayne and
Betty Spake, Bremen, James and Novella Spake, Draketown;
brothers and sister-in-law; Ray Lee Spake, Bremen, J. W.
Spake of Bremen; grandchildren, Phillip and Amanda Spake,
Tracy and Regina Vines; great grandchildren, Seth Smith,
Preston Spake and Ryan Spake.

Services will be Friday, February 26 at 2:00 PM from the
Bremen Church of Christ with Minister Sidney White and
Reverend Van Brown officiating. Granddaughter, Regina
Vines will be speaking. Music will be furnished by the
McBrayer Family. Phillip Spake, Seth Smith, Tracy Vines,
Kirk Sanders, Anthony Harness and Ricky Spake will serve
as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Spake
and Ryan Spake. Interment will follow in Corinth Church
Cemetery.
