Grady Hoyt Craven

Biography

Grady Hoyt Craven of Melear Road, Bowdon, passed away at
his residence, Friday, February 19, 2010. He was born in
Haralson County, October 26, 1926, son of the late Charlie
Perry Craven and Ola Mae Barber Craven. Mr. Craven was a
retired self-employed brick mason and a U.S. Army veteran
of World War II.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Annie Ruth Harper Craven; a daughter, Raye Wade and a son,
Punkin Craven.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and
Kent Gray, Fruithurst, AL, Annie Mae and Tony Henderson of
Bremen, Mary Nelle and Mark Wade, Bremen, Carole and Jim
Lepard of Tallapoosa, Betty and Mack Arp, Buchanan; sons
and daughters-in-law, Wilbur and Johnnie Craven, Bremen,
Walter and Dianne Craven of Bremen; sister and brother-in
-law, Shirley and Jack Baker of Cocoa Beach, FL; brother
and sister-in-law, Shorty and Mattie Craven of Carrollton;
49 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, February 22 at 2:00 PM from the
chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend John
Lemmings officiating. Music will be furnished by Heather
Gray and Halley Wade. Phillip Wade, Daniel Wade, Kenny
Paul Gray, Josh Lepard , Ronald Arp and Grady Craven will
serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Concord United
Methodist Church Cemetery.
