Biography

Woodson G. Bagby of McPherson Street, Bremen passed
away Thursday, February 4, 2010 in a local hospital.
He was born in Person County, North Carolina, January
26, 1934, son of the late A. Y. Bagby and Elise Overby
Bagby. Mr. Bagby was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a
member of the Bremen First Baptist Church, a former
Human Resources Manager for the U.S. Can Company and
Produce Manager for the Ingle’s Store.

Survivors include wife, Elaine Newman Bagby of Bremen;
sons, Bill Bagby, Tallapoosa, Bob Bagby of Carrollton;
step-sons, John Carroll of Villa Rica, Jeff Carroll,
Carrollton; sisters, Frances Westbrook, Bremen, Sherry
Winkles of North Carolina; grandchildren,Robbie Bagby,
Joel Bagby, Maghan Carroll, Jake Carroll and a great
grandson, Andrew Acklin.

Memorial services will be Sunday, February 7 at 2:00 PM
from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Brother
Herman Parker officiating.
