Obituary for Sandra Sue Rampy

Sandra Sue Payton Rampy of Bremen passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 in a Rome hospital. She was born in Carroll County January 8, 1947, daughter of the late Maynard Glen Payton and Icy Lou Levans Payton. Sandra was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was a retired insurance agent and was owner of her business.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jan Dellinger.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry “Murphy” Rampy of Bremen; children, Beth Rampy of Newnan, Debbie McCarley of Rome and Greg and Dana Rampy of Bremen; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one on the way.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.

Services will be Wednesday, August 30 at 2:00 PM from the Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Reverend Britt Madden, Reverend John Butler and Reverend Ricky Shadrix officiating. Music will be furnished by Dana Rampy and Debbie McCarley and the church choir under the direction of Debbie Pruitt. Carlos Robit, Gabe Rampy, Buford Young, Anthony Lesink, Patton Rampy and Russ Rampy will serve as pallbearers. The following will serve as honorary pallbearers, Grant McCarley, Shane Brown and Bennett Lawrence. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Waddell Street, Bremen, GA.
