Obituary for Midge Grizzard Furseth

Midge Beloria Furseth of Waco passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 2, 1958, daughter of the late Arnold P. Grizzard and Vira Lee Barnett Grizzard. Midge was a Licensed Practical Nurse employed by Maxim Health Care Services.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Zane Grizzard; a nephew, Jesse Harrison Grizzard and a brother-in-law, Rickey Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Jon Furseth of Winston; daughters, Jamie and Jimmy Thornburg, Hinesville, Amie and Josh Jones, Winston and Cristy Ivey of Waco; sisters, Dawn Grizzard of Bremen, Faith Smith of Carrollton; two brothers, Rodney and Glenda Grizzard of Roseburg, Oregon, Jesse ‘Joe’ and Sue Grizzard of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Austin and Emma Thornburg of Hinesville, Gavin Hall and Ella Grace Jones, Winston, Ainsley and Gage Morris of Waco, Aaron Grizzard of Bremen; two step-daughters, Jennie Ivey and Joni Ivey, both of Virginia and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Services will be Wednesday, September 6 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Brother Joel Humphrey officiating. The eulogy will be given by Amie Jones and Cristy Ivey. Jimmy Thornburg, Josh Jones, Austin Thornburg, Michael Youngblood, Rob Woods and Paul Glassaco will serve as pallbearers.
Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
