Obituary for Linda L. 'Hornsby' Bowling

Linda Lucille Bowling of Bremen passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 in a local hospital. She was born in Graham, Alabama, August 17, 1944, daughter of the late George Willie Hornsby and Lillian Gibbs Hornsby. Mrs. Bowling was a retired employee of The Arrow Company and a member of the Buchanan Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Billie Joyce Huckeba and Patsy Stevens.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Charles Bowling of Bremen; a daughter and son-in-law, Rena and Stan Cates of Wedowee, AL; a son, Keith Bowling of Bremen; grandchildren, Allison Gladney of Atlanta, Christy and Joe Barrett of Bremen, Andrew and Kristen Bowling of Temple; one great grandchild, Hendrix Cash Bowling and one on the way, Lily June Barrett; a sister and brother-in law, Margaret and Ray Morris of Buchanan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

Services will be Thursday, February 2 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Brother Herman Parker and Reverend Scott Robinson officiating. Music will be furnished by Andy Fowler accompanied by Sara Calhoun. David Kite, Eric Bowling, Joseph Barrett, Gary Bowling, Shannon Bowling and John Gladney will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
