Obituary for James "Jim" Robert Shadrix

James “Jim” Robert Shadrix of Temple (Draketown) passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at a local hospital. He was born in Bremen, March 1, 1947, son of the late Selma James Shadrix and Mary Estavanko Shadrix. Mr. Shadrix was employed by Southwire in the Credit Department and was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Goldin Shadrix of Draketown; a son, Shane Shadrix of Draketown; a daughter and son-in-law, Genevie and Shane Dryden of Draketown and two grandchildren, Bailey Dryden and MacKenzie Dryden of Draketown.
The family is receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 until 9:00 PM.
Services will be Friday, October 27 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Deacon Gary Atkinson officiating. Music will be furnished by Brother Andy Fowler accompanied by Mrs. Sue Ezzell. Ricky White, Cortney White, Clay Hamil, Mike Campbell, Dwight Singleton, Steve Tidwell, Ricky Goldin and Danny Goldin will serve as pallbearers. Knights of Columbus will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Goldin Cemetery with Reverend Wendell Rush officiating.
