Obituary for Charles 'Jack' Jackson Edwards

Charles Jackson ‘Jack’ Edwards of Bremen passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Bremen, January 26, 1937, son of the late Carl P. Edwards, Sr. and Mildred Davis Edwards. He was a graduate of Bremen High School, where he excelled in playing football, a graduate of the University of West Georgia (West Georgia College) and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He was the owner of the Lambert Tire Company in Carrollton with his son, Mark for thirty five years. Mr. Edwards served in the Air National Guard.

He loved traveling with his wife, who took them on many fun trips with different groups of people. Fishing with his buddy, Kenneth Duncan was a love of his life and then enjoying cooking the fish with all the trimmings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, C. P. Edwards, Jr., Jeff Edwards and Tommy Edwards.

Survivors include his wife, Lynda Pentecost Edwards of Bremen; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ash and Mayu Edwards of Bremen, Mark and Janet Edwards of Cedartown and a grandchild, Indi Edwards of Bremen.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.

Services will be Wednesday, May 24 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Russell officiating. Bobby Barr, Bryant Brandenburg, Chris Riggs, Scott Edwards, Tommy Edwards and Kenneth Duncan will serve as pallbearers. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
