Obituary for Barbara Pruitt

Barbara McPherson Pruitt, 86 of Graham Alabama passed away June 20, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on February 16, 1931 in Acworth, Georgia, the daughter of the late Claude McPherson and Alpha Bishop McPherson.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, “A.D.” Ansel Dewey Pruitt; brother, Ted McPherson and a sister Dixie Jordan.

Survivors include children, Amanda Cobb of Villa Rica, Rita Floyd of Graham, AL, Lee & Minnie Jackson of Temple and John & Kim Jackson of Griffin; Sister, Charolette Hammock of Woodstock; brothers, Gerald McPherson of Felton and Mac & Brenda McPherson of Winston; sister in law, Betty Couch; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eleven Great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 23, 2017, between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm.

Funeral Services will follow at 2 pm from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend David McPherson officiating. Robert McQurter, Wesley McQurter, Jacob Howard, Alvin Yates, Jr, Michael Yates and Samuel Floyd will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow in Mount Zion East Church Cemetery.
