Obituary for Anysteen 'Teen' Wilson Smith

Anysteen (Teen) Wilson Smith of Bremen passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was born in Tallapoosa, February 13, 1932, daughter of the late William Jasper Wilson and Margie Allred Harris. Mrs. Smith was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of Tallapoosa High School. She worked at Sewell Manufacturing Company, Turner’s Outlet, Fabric Outlet and retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement as a front end manager. Teen was a member of the Bremen Circle of Friends II,

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jasper Wilson and Zelma Shellnut Wilson, Daniel L. Harris and Margie Allred Harris; her husband; Robert ‘Winford’ Smith; a daughter, Lisa Smith Moody; Infant son, David Smith and a sister, Hazel Smith.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Peggy Smith; grandchildren, Jon (Sunshine) Smith, Daniel Colton Moody, Rebekah Smith and Adam Smith; great grandchildren, Grier Smith and Jonathan Smith and a son-in-law, Danny Moody. She is survived by brothers; Ray (Bobbye) Wilson, Karl (Pat) Harris, Wilbur (Judy) Harris and Havard (Sandra) Harris and three sisters, Margaret Lawrence, Evelyn (Ken) Willis and Lillian Scarbrough.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.

Services will be Friday, July 21 at 2:00 PM from the Kansas Baptist Church with Reverend Jon Smith and Reverend Randy Eidson officiating. Music will be furnished by Peggy Shepherd and Bobby Robinson. Grier Smith, Jonathan Smith, Brandon Bates, Brian Bates, Drew Norton and Wade Gladden will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Kansas Church Cemetery with Reverend Ralph Ploof in charge of the graveside.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Stewart House, the staff of Agape Hospice and the staff of Caretakers of West Georgia (formerly Compassionate Companions) for the loving care Teen received.
